Visitors from further afield will find that St Nicholas Arcades Shopping Centre and Lancaster City Centre are easily reached from Junction 34 of the M6 Motorway by simply following the City Centre signs. The Shopping Centre has easy access on the right hand side from the one-way system straight into the 300 space undercover car park.
CAR PARKING
St Nicholas Arcades Shopping Centre has a 300 spaces short stay car park and has recently been awarded the “Park Mark” Safer Parking Award. The Car Park also has a number of disabled parking spaces available. The Car Park is open Monday to Saturday 7.30am to 9.00pm and Sunday 8.00am to 5.00pm. Both levels of the Car Park are accessible by a public lift. Lancaster City Council has introduced an option for cashless parking in St Nicholas Arcades Shopping Centre car park.

BY PUBLIC TRANSPORT
Lancaster has a busy bus station which acts as the hub for all bus services from the surrounding areas and routes through from Carlisle and Preston as well as regular services to Lancaster’s universities. The Bus Station is two minutes’ walk from St Nicholas Arcades Shopping Centre.
Lancaster sits on the main West-Coast rail line with frequent train services from all points North and South. Local train services run to and from Morecambe, Carnforth and Preston. The railway station is less than 5 minutes’ walk from the City Centre.

Public toilets are located down the stairs to the Car Park and Church Street. Baby changing facilities and disabled toilet are to be found at the top of the stairs.
